Meet Maya, your guide to Vietnam

Discover the woman behind Travel with Maya, her passion for connecting women through travel, and what makes her hosted journeys truly unforgettable.

My journey, your adventure

I’ve spent the last three years solo travelling my way across the world, chasing culture, connection, and a slightly unhealthy obsession with local food and hidden gems. About six months ago, I finally landed in Hoi An and decided to call it home, at least for now. I’m happiest when I’m fully immersed in a place - eating where the locals eat, cycling through rice fields, wandering markets, and saying yes to spontaneous adventures. I love a slow beach day just as much as I love a good cocktail at sunset, vintage shopping and exploring somewhere new on two wheels.

Adventure definitely runs in the family too - my 21 year old daughter is currently living her best life in Ibiza, so you could say we both caught the travel bug and never really looked back. Now, I’d love to share my version of Da Nang and Hoi An - the one I fell in love with - and take you beyond the typical tourist spots into the places, moments, and experiences that made me stay.

Creating connections and unforgettable moments

I created this trip because I want to share the version of Vietnam that completely stole my heart and hopefully inspire other women to say "yes" to themselves and to new experiences.

I've kept this group small so nobody feels like just another number. We'll share sunset cocktails, great food, and plenty of laughs, with enough free time to do your own thing too. Because I live in Hoi An, I'll show you the places I fell in love with - the hidden gems and local spots. My hope is that you'll leave with amazing memories, new friends and maybe even a renewed sense of adventure.

"I've travelled to a lot of places, but experiencing Da Nang and Hoi An through Maya's eyes was something completely different. She showed me hidden cafés, local food spots, beautiful beaches, and little gems I would never have found on my own. Every day felt relaxed, fun, and full of surprises - I completely fell in love with Central Vietnam" - Dora
